Jesse Schilderink, 27th of May 1995, is a Dutch saxophonist, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He currently studies the bachelor of music at the jazz department of the Codarts Conservatory of Rotterdam. Throughout the years, Jesse followed lessons with teachers like Guus Tangelder, Rolf Delfos, Sjoerd Dijkhuizen, Ben van den Dungen, Dick de Graaf and Simon Rigter. During the autumn of 2017, he studies at the NTNU Conservatory of Trondheim, Norway. There he followed lessons with among others Eirik Hegdal.
Over the years Jesse has played in multiple bands and orchestras. At a very young age he started playing in a traditional bigband setting and after this start, many other (jazz) formations followed. At the age of nineteen he was selected for the 2015/2016 edition of the Dutch National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NJJO), conducted by pianist and composer Martin Fondse. Two years later, Jesse also joint the new 2017/2018 edition of this orchestra, this time led by guitarist Anton Goudsmit.
