The Offshoots is een afgeleide van het project New Trees On Old Ground van het Paradox Jazz Orchestra. Binnen dit project krijgen musici uit en rond het PJO de ruimte om hun eigen muzikale ideeën en nieuwe richtingen te ontwikkelen. Voor de allereerste editie stelde saxofonist Jesse Schilderink zijn eigen ensemble samen. The Offshoots laat zien wat er kan ontstaan wanneer musici vanuit de traditie van het Paradox Jazz Orchestra hun eigen muzikale pad inslaan. De muziek werd op 3 en 4 december 2025 opgenomen in Paradox Tilburg.
